About Kindy Patch Clarinda
Welcome to Kindy Patch Clarinda!
We are conveniently located for families living in Clarinda, Oakleigh South, Clayton South, Clayton, Huntingdale, Oakleigh and Notting Hill.
Kindy Patch Clarinda is an Exceeding early learning centre that offers early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old. We have an amazing team of passionate teachers and educators. Our team is dedicated to ensuring every child feels safe, nurtured and inspired throughout their education journey. From planning adventure-filled experiences to building children’s self-confidence and resilience, right up until a child’s transition to ‘big school’.
Children and teachers grow and learn together, in our resource-rich learning environments. Our centre boasts engaging outdoor spaces including a separate mud play area allowing the children to freely explore sensory learning, a large sandpit, a wooden climbing frame, a slide and a separate art gallery area. We also have centre vegetable gardens, worm farms and compost tumblers. The centre's art space allows the children to explore and enjoy many different resources to help them draw or paint.
All of our indoor environments have indigenous learning spaces, natural resources, and a homely environment for the children to rest and recover their energy. All rooms have an interactive whiteboard, natural resources, numeracy and literacy areas, and STEM programs are provided for the Kindergarten children.
Our team
Our longstanding team of educators are committed to creating meaningful learning spaces for the children. They are committed to providing an engaging, safe and nurturing environment for all the children in their care. We are a multicultural early learning centre with several languages being spoken across our team including Vietnamese, Mandarin, Hindi and Sinhalese. As mentioned we have a longstanding team of educators at the centre with one of our educators having been at the centre for 15 years and two others that have been here for 6 and 7 years.
We know each child is an individual with unique talents and interests. Our team is passionate about their profession and truly wants your child to succeed in discovering their identity as confident, happy and resilient learners. Parents receive daily updates and photos detailing their child's learning and development from our easy to use Parent app.
Partnering with families
Relationships are key to delivering the best possible learning opportunities for your child. Our Educators and teachers develop strong bonds with the children and their families. We view a child's early education as an extension of the learning occurring at home. Therefore, we believe a successful early learning journey needs a good partnership. We pride ourselves on working together with our families to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children. We welcome your involvement and that Involvement will look different for different families.
Exploring the community
We offer a range of experiences to help children learn about their local community. We often have visits from emergency services, grandparents, cooking classes, aboriginal artists and didgeridoo players and other community services to help expand the children’s learning. We also have excursions to our local park, local library and local primary school to assist our Kindergarten/ Preschool children with their transition to ‘big school’.
