About Happy at Home Family Day Care

HAPPY AT HOME FAMILY DAY CARE PHILOSOPHY

Happy at Home Family Day Care aims to provide your children with a fun, friendly, safe and stimulating environment. Children attending Happy at Home will be treated with respect and as an individual. I believe communication between child, parent and carer is crucial to fullfill everyone’s needs.

My home has been adapted so that it is a very safe environment for children of all ages and all safety requirements have been followed.

At Happy at Home Family Day Care your children will feel secure in a homely atmosphere. I will provide consistency in routine, interaction and good management.

Children in my care will be stimulated with a daily plan which will include age appropriate activities including games, story time, art and craft, cooking, free play (both inside and out), music, dance, rest and occasional outings. They will have the opportunity to develop social skills, gross and fine motor skills and self confidence by participating in these activities.

Meal times will often be hands on experience. Children will be offered healthy food and beverages at all times with occasional fun treats included.

I am a member of the Wanlsea Family Day Care Scheme and follow the Australian Early Years Learning Framework. (EYLF). I work very closely with the Wanslea team who pop out on a regular basis to support and work with us making sure every thing is as per regulation and up to date. I also work with their administration team who process and deal with all the centrelink side of things.

Just a little bit about myself, I am a mum of 3 amazing grown kids my sons Bailey & Clay 19, 21 & my daughter Stephanie 26 who have all recently moved out of home!! I have been doing Family Day Care since my own kids were small, it has been a big part of my life & I am still loving every minute of it! I have all the relevant child care qualifications and many many more (please ask to view my qualifications at introduction interview) including Senior First Aid. In my spare time I like to hang out with my lovely family & friends, keep fit (i need to do that to keep up with all my little friends!) cook, read and relax!

Happy at Home Family Day Care’s philosophy is to provide a “home away from home” feel for children which offers each family personal and nurturing care aiming to accommodate each of their needs as individually as possible, providing plenty of fun whilst learning through play, safety and security, good nutrition, quality care and respect. I believe your family’s time at Happy at Home Family Day Care will be a positive one and hopefully will create some fond childhood memories for children who attend.
