First time mum returning to the workforce starting a traineeship with this centre and my daughters/families first childcare experience. This centre is newly built with great facilities. The prep room is managed and taught incredibly well with acknowledgment to Tim for his efforts. I thank the educators who genuinely helped/cared for my daughter in her time at this centre. This centre has done more damage to my daughter and family than any good. My experience with this centre has left me with fears and hesitations of sending my daughter to preschool. All of my daughters basic needs were not met, some days only being given 1 meal, being left in a poop nappy to sleep in plus an hour after waking (almost 3 hrs total) resulting in severe nappy rash, a blister and small layer of skin taken off. Sunburnt on 2 occasions, one leading to heat exhaustion symptoms the following day, vomiting, extreme fatigue, loss of appetite. Numerous times (over the final month of enrolment) I approached the director with complaints with little to no action. I myself had to implement ways to protect my daughter (eg. Sudo applied every nappy change). My daughter has only just stopped repeating upsetting actions/words which I believe came from the educators “caring” for her (we left in September 2024). I was informed by an educator that Marie Kyriakakis (pearls room leader) had emotionally abused my 2 year old whilst she was in the centres care. This was the final straw for removing my daughter. Both the director and area manager initially listened and told me action would be taken, that none of this was okay. I never received any follow ups or communication after this. Little to no action was taken whilst my daughter was still in the centres care. I had to approach the room leader myself who informed me that she hadn’t been spoken to about anything relating to my daughter. The traineeship took 2 months to get signed up and be given any units to complete, my physical hours of working did not count towards work placement hours whilst waiting to be signed up. How this entire situation was handled was extremely poor, still to this day we have only ever received 1 apology which was from a trainee, I believe this went as far as speaking to the owners. I would not wish this experience on anyone hence why after months of contemplation I have decided to write this review. $160 per day full cost.
