About Only About Children McDowall
At Only About Children McDowall we aim to be the leading holistic early learning provider in our community through education development and wellbeing. We endeavour to empower every child to reach their full potential through a passion for learning.
Our campus is located at 1035 Rode Road, just across the street from McDowall State School.
We have:
- Three dedicated outdoor play areas featuring mud pit, slide, sandpits, a climbing wall and a compost and worm farm
- Six age-based indoor spaces with a design focus on natural elements and self-lead play
Enrolment includes:
- Health Program - with Allied Health support in Nutrition, Vision, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology
- Daily Dietitian designed, freshly prepared meals
- All essentials from nappies, formula and cot linen to sunscreen
- Excursions and local community activities

Our play-based curriculum allows consistent teaching in small group learning environments featuring:
- Qualified and passionate Educators
- Oac Grow curriculum supporting Nursery and Preschool aged children
- Daily fun and inclusive learning in numeracy, literacy, exploration, technology, sustainability and creative expression

Nisha and her team are delightful - we love how they happily greet us by name every morning. Nisha is also really helpful everytime I need to find an additional casual care day for my toddler. Toddler 2 teachers (Bec, Phoebe, Ash, Kalie) are very capable educators plus they are great communicators, which really helps me understand how my little one is doing each day. OAC McDowall is like a second home to us.

The staff go out of their way to make me feel comfortable leaving my 11 month old with them. They allowed me unlimited stay and play times in the months leading up to commencement, they are responsive and follow her cues for sleep and eating, and they welcomed her to fall asleep on them and then slowly transitioned to falling asleep in the crib after the first month or so. Their love and care is so genuine. My bub is a timid soul and was hesitant and crying just being in the centre at first. Within the first month of starting part time, then full time, she wasn't crying at drop off and was smiling in so many photos! I can't rave enough about the McDowall campus and staff!
