About Rachel's Place
Rachel's Place is a warm and inviting childcare centre and kindergarten that caters for children aged 2 years to 5 years. In our homelike environment, the educators follow the lead of the children to support learning through play. The children benefit from both mixed age family groupings that allow them to develop holistic emotional, social, physical and cognitive skills.
The open-ended learning spaces support the children's learning. The backyard is set within the natural surroundings, creating and calming and inspiring learning space. The children can take some time out in a quiet nook or move to a more open area for rigorous play. We believe in allowing children the freedom to choose their play and advocate for adventurous play. Children can be found making extensive obstacle courses out of loose parts or doing woodwork or using the glue gun and other tools to make creations.
Indoors the rooms are equipped with open ended resources based on the childrens emerging interests that they need to learn and discover each day. The children can explore their interests alongside their peers. They can play in the home corner, explore light and shadow in our light room, or self serve their art from our art studio. We have a strong environmental focus and offer a weekly forest school.
Our team are highly talented and dedicated to the children. We offer art, movement and yoga classes each week as part of our curriculum. With a bus stop at the door, the centre is convenient to access via public transport. Parents can also access street parking outside the centre. Please come and have avisit and see your yourself our friendly community oriented service!
