The Green Elephant Early Learning Centre - Rosebery

At The Green Elephant, we aim to provide the highest quality standard of education and care for the children and families enrolled. We are a family owned and operated centre, committed to providing a warm, loving and nurturing environment where children are empowered to explore, discover and learn to their full potential. 

Walking through the entrance of the Rosebery service, the unassuming door into The Green Elephant hides a world that any child would be curious to visit. The vast foyer of the centre is welcoming and homely and provides for an easy drop-off, complete with pram and bike parking for those close to home.

Stepping into the thoughtfully designed indoor outdoor playground, your children will find an amazing environment which includes sandpits, mud kitchens, a track perfect for bikes and little feet, cubbyhouses, mounds of green space and natural resources that are chosen to enhance learning and improve fine motor skills. The innovative design of the centre allows the indoors to feel the freedom of the outdoors.

Meals are shared in the dining room, with an open and inviting window into the experienced chef’s kitchen. It is a perfect place to serve, eat and enjoy cooking activities with young friends.

Well resourced classrooms cater for age appropriate needs and imaginations, with activities that aim to enhance learning, individual growth and fun.

The outdoor yard is the crown of the centre, in design and possibility. This space is used beyond play, but as an outdoor classroom for sustainability and the environment, craft, gardening and even cooking. With cubbys, climbing wall and sandstone sandpits with options for water play on the sunny Sydney days, The Green Elephant at Rosebery will entice any child to join in on the fun.

At The Green Elephant we have adopted a holistic approach to education and care for children. We are an all inclusive centre. We provide the following:

• Explorer Elephant - hands-on experiential learning program based on regular small group visits to museums, art galleries, local parks and libraries within the community.
• Big School Elephant Program - school readiness starts in our nursery room and is embedded throughout the whole centre.
• All meals, which are created by our nutrtionist and cooked in our kitchen by our wonderful chef
